2005 5.7L Durango low heat. I have two 2005 5.7 SLT's with 150K miles. It started in the fall with overheating while towing my camper, then I got issues of weird jumping readings from the temp gauge and no cabin heat, and a smell of coolant from the engine. With the 4th generation RAMs it is very common that knock is caused by a broken exhaust manifold bolt. It is said that the manifold bolt problem sounds different from the hemi knock that is also very common with the HEMI. Luckily my 5.7 1500 has neither so I can't help on the difference in sound each knock has.
